Vocal Booth
Studio InstallationA vocal booth installation, optimizing sound quality and enhancing the recording experience
Working on large-scale installations for multi-channel or multi-line recording studios is something we’ve grown very accustomed to over the years. These expansive, often complex projects—ranging from full control room builds to entire audio networks—require detailed planning, technical expertise, and a dedicated team to bring everything together seamlessly. However, there’s a unique kind of satisfaction that comes from working on a smaller, focused project like a vocal booth installation. While it may not have the same scale as a full studio fit-out, we approach it with the exact same level of professionalism, precision, and care. Every project matters to our clients, and because of that, it matters just as much to us.
The Value of Small-Scale Projects
One recent example that truly illustrates this mindset is a vocal booth installation we completed in collaboration with TMB Acoustics. While not as large in scope as some of our usual multi-room studio projects, this particular booth was an important endeavor for both companies. Not only did it give us a chance to work together again, but it also served as an excellent opportunity to showcase what we can achieve when we combine our strengths and expertise.
Building a Compact but Capable Vocal Booth
This vocal booth was designed to accommodate two microphones and two headphones—seemingly straightforward specifications, but it is important to pay attention to detail. From sound isolation to internal acoustic treatment, every element was carefully considered to ensure optimal performance and comfort for users. Vocal booths may be compact, but they require a high degree of precision to achieve the kind of clarity and isolation that recording artists and engineers expect. We were determined to make this booth as professional and reliable as possible, staying true to the high standards that both the Techmin team and TMB Acoustics are known for.
Unexpected Praise from an Industry Professional
What made this project even more meaningful was the feedback we received during the process.
