Expanding Media Infrastructure for Redemption Church Greenstone Campus

The expansion of Redemption Church to their new location in Greenstone represented more than just a change of address—it was a bold step toward enhancing their worship experience through advanced media infrastructure. As congregations continue to grow and adapt to digital demands, it becomes increasingly important to ensure that every component of a church’s audiovisual system is both functional and future-ready. With this in mind, Techmin was brought on board to design and implement a comprehensive cabling and connectivity solution across multiple spaces in the facility.

The brief was clear: to enable high-quality camera feeds, video streaming, and immersive audio-visual support across various areas, including the main auditorium, the children’s church facilities, and the mother’s room. Every detail had to be precise, robust, and discreet, ensuring that the technology supported the ministry rather than distracting from it.

Multi-Zone Connectivity Across the Redemption Church Campus

At the heart of this project was the cabling and network backbone that connects every space within the Redemption Church campus. One of the core requirements was to support HD camera feeds throughout the main auditorium. These camera signals are crucial not just for live production during services but also for streaming to other spaces within the church and potentially online in the future. To meet this demand, high-definition video cabling was installed to carry clean, stable signals over distance, without latency or quality degradation.

In addition to the camera system, Techmin implemented video-over-IP solutions for content distribution across the campus. Unlike traditional coaxial cabling, video-over-IP offers more flexibility, allowing high-quality video signals to be sent over standard network infrastructure. This was especially important for routing feeds to video walls, which require synchronized, high-resolution content display.

The same technology enabled the seamless delivery of video and audio to auxiliary areas such as the children’s church and the mother’s room, where services could be viewed live without any disruption. These zones are critical in accommodating families and ensuring that everyone—regardless of age or need—remains connected to the church experience.

Audiovisual Upgrades for Children’s Church and Supporting Areas

The children’s church area at Redemption Church was treated as more than just an overflow space. Recognizing the importance of creating an engaging environment for young congregants, Techmin outfitted these rooms with flat-screen TVs and soundbars. The audiovisual setup allows for individual programming in each room, meaning they can run tailored content simultaneously with or independent of the main auditorium’s feed.

Each display is connected via the video-over-IP network, with dedicated controls allowing church staff to easily switch between live service feeds, children’s programming, or other media content. The addition of soundbars in each room enhances the audio experience, delivering crisp and intelligible sound that keeps kids engaged and attentive. These features also support multi-purpose use—everything from Sunday school to small group activities, all benefiting from professional AV tools.

A similar setup was installed in the mother’s room, allowing parents with infants to still participate in the service without needing to be physically present in the main auditorium. It’s all part of the holistic design thinking that went into the infrastructure, prioritizing inclusion, flexibility, and clarity.

A Seamless, Future-Proof Media Network

The success of the Redemption Church installation lies in its balance of performance and simplicity. While the technology behind the scenes is highly sophisticated, the user interface and day-to-day operation are designed to be intuitive for church staff and volunteers. All cabling was installed discreetly through ceilings, walls, and conduit, preserving the clean, modern aesthetic of the facility.

The use of IP-based video distribution not only simplifies routing but also ensures scalability. Should the church expand its facilities or AV capabilities in the future—adding more cameras, screens, or venues—the existing infrastructure will support it without requiring major rewiring.

A Partnership in Service

Techmin takes pride in being part of projects like this, where technological excellence meets a greater purpose. Working with Redemption Church to help bring their vision to life in Greenstone is a reflection of what’s possible when thoughtful design, expert implementation, and mission-driven values come together.

This installation is more than just cables and screens—it’s about creating an environment where people can connect, learn, worship, and grow. With a future-ready infrastructure in place, Redemption Church is well-equipped to serve its community both now and for years to come.
