This installation wasn’t a reactive measure to external events but a forward-thinking strategy aimed at enhancing learning experiences and ensuring technological flexibility in an evolving education landscape. The project focused on enabling lecturers to reach both in-person and remote students with high-quality video and audio, creating a hybrid classroom environment well ahead of its time.
A Flexible and Intuitive Setup for IIE MSA University Lecturers
At the core of the IIE MSA University’s streaming solution is a ceiling-mounted, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera—designed to capture dynamic, multi-angle views of lectures with minimal manual interference. The camera is discreetly installed in a position that gives it a comprehensive view of the lecture hall, while maintaining a low-profile presence that does not distract from the class experience.
By choosing to install streaming infrastructure years prior, IIE MSA University demonstrated an understanding of the growing intersection between education and technology. The solution offered more than just live streaming—it also allowed for recording lectures, which could later be uploaded to learning management systems or used as part of online course materials. This not only enhanced the value of classroom time but also catered to students who needed to revisit complex topics or who were unable to attend in person.

We provided custom control interfaces to manage AV input sources, adjust lighting and audio levels, and operate displays—all from a single, sleek touch panel. This empowers employees to focus on productivity rather than setup, and ensures that important meetings begin without delay or technical distractions.
The system is built to grow alongside IoT.NXT, with modularity that allows for the addition of new hardware and software features without requiring major rewiring. In today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, this future-proofing is essential.
Enhancing Office Ambience with Audio at IoT.NXT
Beyond the meeting and presentation spaces, the rest of the IoT.NXT facility needed the same attention to audio design, albeit with a different purpose. To foster a welcoming, energetic atmosphere, we installed a distributed background music system in the open-plan workspace and cafeteria.
Carefully selected ceiling-mounted speakers were discreetly placed to ensure balanced coverage across large areas. The system provides background music throughout the day, enhancing mood, improving productivity, and creating a consistent auditory experience from one space to the next.
This setup also includes zoning capabilities, so music levels can be adjusted independently for different areas—allowing, for example, a more relaxed volume in the cafeteria and a subtle ambient sound in work zones.

Working alongside Mitech Solutions, our team ensured that the technical execution met the high standards required by a brand like IoT.NXT. From pre-planning cable routes to final testing and system handover, every step was completed with attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
As a result, IoT.NXT’s Pretoria office is now fully equipped for high-level communications and collaboration, with audio-visual systems that are as visually elegant as they are technologically advanced.
