Sonovision Studios
Studio InstallationCutting-Edge Integration at Sonovision Studios
Sonovision Studios is a state-of-the-art multi-studio complex designed to meet the evolving needs of modern audio production. Boasting four fully-equipped control rooms and four acoustically treated live rooms, this facility is engineered to offer flexibility, scalability, and seamless functionality. What sets Sonovision Studios apart is not just the number of rooms, but the way these rooms are interconnected to support complex and concurrent recording workflows.
Each of the four control rooms is expertly wired to connect with two live rooms. This strategic setup allows for multiple sessions to be conducted simultaneously, significantly increasing the operational efficiency of the studio. Whether a team is tracking a full band in one live room while overdubs happen in another, or running completely separate sessions in parallel, the layout supports a wide range of production scenarios.
This project was completed on behalf of Benjamin Pro Audio, a renowned name in the professional sound systems industry, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and technical precision.
Seamless Interconnectivity at Sonovision Studios
One of the standout features of the Sonovision Studios installation is the advanced connectivity between rooms. The design team prioritized future-proofing the studio by ensuring all rooms were linked through a comprehensive infrastructure that includes USB2, HDMI, and high-speed data cabling. These connections allow for easy communication between digital audio interfaces, visual monitoring systems, and computer peripherals.
This level of inter-room connectivity is especially useful for engineers, producers, and artists who require real-time visual feedback or need to control multiple systems from different locations within the facility. For instance, a producer can monitor the visual feed of a live room from any control room, enabling remote direction and feedback, while the musicians are tracking.
By installing HDMI and USB2 ports in each room, the facility is able to support a wide array of audio-visual applications, from multi-camera setups to MIDI control and plugin automation. These details may seem minor, but they are crucial for maintaining a professional, uninterrupted workflow.
Network Infrastructure and Server Integration
In addition to audio and video routing, a robust network infrastructure was a critical component of the Sonovision Studios installation. Network cabling was installed from the central server room to each individual control and live room. This not only supports standard internet and file-sharing functions but also opens the door for advanced systems like Dante audio networking, remote DAW control, and centralized session backups.
By providing high-speed data links throughout the entire facility, the studio is equipped to handle large session files, rapid software updates, and secure archiving solutions. Engineers and producers working at Sonovision Studios benefit from centralized resources without compromising performance or accessibility.
Moreover, this kind of infrastructure supports future upgrades, such as integrating AI-driven production tools or expanding the facility with additional rooms and routing capabilities. The system was designed with modularity in mind, ensuring that Sonovision Studios can grow alongside technological advancements in the audio industry.
